INVISIBLE SOMA

Where science, art & movement turn the invisible into experience

Founded by Dr. Vilelmini Kala, artist, performer, and scientist, Invisible Soma transforms heartbeat, movement, and collective presence into immersive installations, performances, and workshops — creating connection, awareness, and resonance across art, performance, and society.

The Founder

The mind and heart Behind Invisible Soma

Vilelmini Kala — a scientist and professional dancer who moves between the worlds of performance, research, and immersive art. Her journey began with a fascination for the unseen forces that shape our lives: the pulse beneath the skin, the breath that carries us, the subtle rhythms that connect us to one another.

Through years of artistic practice and academic exploration, she has sought to make these invisible dimensions visible — translating data into sound, presence into movement, solitude into shared resonance. Her work is driven by a simple yet profound question: What happens when we can feel the invisible between us?

"We believe that human connection deepens when the invisible becomes felt."

Every heartbeat, every breath, and every subtle rhythm of our bodies carries meaning, yet remains unseen in daily life. By making these hidden processes visible and audible, we allow people to encounter themselves and each other in a new way. What is usually private and internal becomes shared and collective — transforming physiology into resonance, and resonance into connection.

Scientific approach

A research-based artistic practice and toolset

Invisible Soma investigates the hidden patterns of human life and transforms them into collective experiences.

We use bio-sensor technology to capture these inner signals in real time and translate them into artistic forms. By doing so, we create spaces where physiology becomes resonance, and resonance becomes shared expression — audible, visible, and deeply felt.

The practice unfolds in three main formats: immersive installations for cultural spaces; interactive tools for performers, musicians, and choreographers; and workshops that let teams explore new ways of connection.

Connection

Connection in Invisible Soma means dissolving the boundaries between inner and outer, self and collective. It is about perceiving the subtle signals that tie us together and letting them unfold as form. In this way, the invisible threads of human presence become tangible and open spaces for genuine belonging.

Resonance

Resonance is not just aesthetic, but relational: it begins when an inner rhythm finds its echo in the world around it. What is personal expands outward and enters into vibration with others. Invisible Soma makes this resonance perceivable as a shared experience that unites individuals through presence.

Flow

Flow is both artistic and human — the seamless merging of science and poetry, performer and audience, technology and presence. It describes the state where awareness and action become one and unfold with natural ease. In flow, experience transcends control and turns into expression that is effortless yet deeply authentic.

Transformation

Transformation is the core promise of Invisible Soma: invisible rhythms become collective art. What begins as data or subtle perception unfolds into immersive experience that engages senses and awareness. In this shift, people discover new ways of sensing themselves and others, finding connection through shared resonance.

 From vision to reality

Invisible Soma bridges art, science, and practice — creating unique value for different audiences.

Invisible Soma has already been prototyped in performances, lab experiments, and workshops. Audiences have experienced their own heartbeat becoming visual forms, their movements shaping sound, their collective presence amplified into resonance.

These early works demonstrate the transformative potential of Invisible Soma and lay the foundation for future collaborations. Invisible Soma speaks to diverse fields — from culture to science, from performance to organizations. Each audience finds its own resonance.
